Over 25 years I've worked on everything from small household jobs to large-scale industrial buildings and full housing developments. Handcrafted Furniture Collection
A series of coordinated pieces created for a single client — each made to the same timber specification and finish so they work as a matched set across different rooms. When a customer wants their home to feel cohesive rather than assembled from a catalogue, this is the approach. Every piece in this collection was crafted to exact dimensions with consistent grain direction and a hand-applied oil finish. Mass-produced furniture cannot replicate this level of considered design. Average lead time for a multi-piece commission is 4–6 weeks.
Artisan Coffee Table
A low-profile coffee table with a live-edge slab top and hand-turned legs — the kind of piece you simply cannot find in a furniture shop. The live-edge format means no two are ever identical; the natural form of the timber dictates the final shape. The base was designed to complement without competing, keeping the eye on the wood itself. This table was shipped from Mansfield to a customer in London, delivered safely with full packaging. Fitted Kitchen Joinery
Kitchen joinery is one of the most demanding areas of carpentry — cabinets must be perfectly level, doors must hang true, and every panel must align across an often imperfect space. Jamie handles the full installation from carcase fitting through to door hanging, worktop cutting, and plinth finishing. Unlike flat-pack installers, all work is built to site rather than forced to fit. The result is a kitchen that looks purpose-built because it was. Staircase & Balustrade
A staircase is structural as well as aesthetic — the joinery must meet Building Regulations for rise, going, and balustrade spacing, while the finish needs to hold up to daily foot traffic for decades. Jamie designs and builds staircases from first principles: string layout, tread cutting, riser fitting, newel post installation, and balustrade construction. Whether it's a replacement staircase in a period property or a contemporary open-riser design for a new build, the approach is the same: engineered to be safe, built to be beautiful, finished to last.
Loft Conversion
Converting a loft adds usable floor space without extending the building's footprint — making it one of the highest-return home improvement projects available. The carpentry work involves cutting back rafters, installing a new structural floor, fitting a staircase, and framing the dormer or roof-light if required. Jamie manages the full joinery scope and works alongside the wider trades needed for insulation, boarding, and finishing. Most loft conversions Jamie works on add a bedroom or home office.
